Made with Purpose
The Pied de Poule Alpaca Throw is handwoven in the highlands of Peru, in Puno, by Mr. Huallpa — a master artisan whose workshop collaborates closely with The Puna to preserve traditional weaving techniques.
Every piece is woven slowly, intentionally, and by hand.
No shortcuts. No mass production.
The color palette is inspired directly by nature — soft contrasts that echo stone, earth, and highland landscapes. This is a deliberate choice, aligned with our vision of sustainability, longevity, and respect for the environment.
The result is a throw that feels grounded, timeless, and quietly luxurious.
As Unique As You
Crafted from 60% baby alpaca and 40% Pima cotton, both sourced from the finest farms in Arequipa, this blend delivers silky insulation, breathable comfort, and enduring resilience. Baby alpaca lends its gentle warmth and feather-light touch, while Pima cotton adds subtle strength and a graceful drape — ensuring the throw retains its shape and texture through the years.
This is not a light decorative throw.
The Pied de Poule Alpaca Throw has a noticeable, comforting weight — the kind that immediately signals quality the moment you touch it. That weight comes from:
-
Dense, handwoven construction
-
High-quality natural fibers
-
Traditional looms that build structure, not fluff
It’s the difference between something that looks premium…
and something that feels premium.
Alpaca vs. Synthetic Fibers
Most throws today are made with plastic-based fibers that trap heat, don’t breathe, and degrade over time.
Alpaca is:
-
Naturally breathable and temperature-regulating
-
Antibacterial and odor-resistant
-
Free from synthetic fibers
-
Healthier for daily skin contact
-
Designed to last for years, not seasons
